இந்தப் படம் இந்த ஆண்டு துவக்கத்தில் பொங்கல் வெளியீடாக வந்தது.
படத்தின் துவக்க வசூலி பிரமாத இருந்தாலும், படம் குறித்த கலவையான விமர்சனங்கள் படத்துக்கான ரசிகர்கள் கூட்டத்தைக் குறைத்துவிட்டது. இருந்தாலும் தம் கூட்ட படத்தை ஓட்டி வந்தனர்.
பிவிஆர், பேபி ஆல்பட் ஆகிய இரண்டு அரங்குகளில் 50 நாள் வரை ஓடியதாக விளம்பரம் வெளியிட்டனர். ஆனால் அப்போது பிவிஆரில் விசாரித்தபோது விஜய் படம் ஓடவில்லை என்றனர்.
பின்னர் பேபி ஆல்பட்டில் மட்டும் ஒரு காட்சியாக ஜில்லா படம் 100 நாள் வரை ஓட்டப்பட்டது.
அதைக் கொண்டாடத்தான் இப்போது ஆல்பட் தியேட்டரில் பெரிய விழாவாக எடுக்கின்றனர்.
